I haven't used my crockpot in forever, and I completely forgot how juicy chicken comes out when I use it! Marinated in some @waldenfarmsinternational honey BBQ sauce for delicious calorie-free flavor and wa-la!

Today was arm day but added some shoulder burnouts, pushed harder on my cardio, and felt STRONG during this morning's session ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Everyday is an opportunity to get closer to my goals. There have been days where I would just go through the motions, but I want to feel this good, this strong, this proud after every lift, so I'm giving it my ALL. every. single. session
.
I will NOT look back and say I could've pushed harder ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป

Ready to come into the new week with a ๐Ÿ”ฅ lit under me!

Time is coming to a crunch and I feel more motivated than ever to grind it out! I've said it before & I'll say it again- I LOVE this sport. I LOVE pushing myself when the times get hard. And I LOVE knowing that I am in control of the outcome- the harder I work, the better the results ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป
.
So unlike most, I'm ending my work streak now, and get to wake up tomorrow focused solely on what I can do to get better, to achieve my goals, and to make myself proud.

Could there be a sweeter way to end the night than with some Vanilla Ice Cream Cake Batter oats? ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฐ

Microwaved dry oats with water until almost all the water's absorbed, then added the @muscleegg cake batter egg whites, microwaved and stirred every 20 seconds until cooked, then added some @1stphorm vanilla ice cream slow-assimilating protein (perfect to eat before bed ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป) and stirred into a thick, fluffy, voluminous treat ๐Ÿ˜‹

Holy moly do I feel accomplished ๐Ÿ˜…

I normally will work 2 of my 12hour shifts in a row, then have a day or two break before my 3rd, but I somehow managed to schedule myself the next 3 12s ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
.
But we got it done ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป 3 days worth of meals, one of those shifts being my rest day, hence only 2 eggies and 2 post-workout recovery shakes!
.
I've always sucked at taking proper rest days, so I have to make them fall on a work day so I'm busy! If I were to schedule my rest day on a day I'm off I would go stir crazy and probably sneak off to the gym anyway ๐Ÿ˜›

Browned up some 96/4 lean ground beef, sautรฉed some peppers & red onion slices, allll topped with a mix of chili powder, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, and black pepper!

When I first started taking lifting & proper nutrition seriously, I got questioned a lot. I remember a friend of mine from high school saw me in the gym and asked, "why are you in here so much; you're already skinny." Or when my sister-in-law brought cupcakes to a family event and I politely declined (I didn't even want one at the time. I wasn't being overly restrictive; I was being in tune with my body and knew I didn't need to a cupcake to feel fulfilled at that time). I didn't have an end goal. I just knew I wanted to be better than I was- stronger, a more balanced physique including a bigger booty and flatter stomach, like every girl ๐Ÿ˜›. There are times throughout my journey that I did have goals with a date in mind. I went through a phase where I wanted to run 5K events with my friends, so I worked on my endurance. I wanted toned arms for my wedding day, so I lifted heavy and cut down for that. I wanted to compete in a bikini competition, so I took the necessary measures for that. Even when my competition is over I will still being doing those same things- lifting, working hard, and fueling my body properly. I LOVE this lifestyle. I love bettering myself. I love health. I'm a nurse, and I use my health knowledge every single day for my patients as well. This is my life.

So thank you @kayhart for the tank, because it's the perfect reminder of why I do what I do. There are days when it's hard and I want to give up, but quitting isn't going to get me anywhere in life.

Generally, I eat the same foods on a daily basis, aka following a meal plan. To my own surprise, my cravings really aren't existent at this time, but I still like to mix it up!

Simply changing out the veggies that I eat, the spices that I use, and the protein flavors I mix has been just enough to keep that variety on point for me ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป
.
One of my new favorite finds has been this Raspberry Lime Pepper seasoning on top of chicken, with some fresh lime squeezed overtop as well! Thanks @simplyspicerubs for the yummy seasonings to try ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป
.
And this ice cream sandwich flavor protein has been the absolute PERFECT fix for my sweet tooth. Hands down the yummiest (and not fake/overly sweet tasting) protein powder I've had ๐Ÿ˜‹
.
And a couple pickles overtop my burger salad for that restaurant style fix ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿฅ—

Rolling into my 3rd 12hr shirt for the week then I've got myself a 3 day weekend ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿผ๐ŸŽ‰

Today was actually supposed to be my rest day, but I slept through my alarm yesterday morning ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ I've always believed everything happens for a reason- I was pretty sore yesterday, and my energy for this morning's lift was SKY high, so i guess it all worked all for the best!

I'll admit, I have ZERO regrets switching over to a more structured meal plan this prep.
.
For one, my energy is still sky high! My meal prep is SO much quicker without having to calculate and re-calculate things on MFP. And I'm truly confident when I say I'm doing everything in my power to rock this prep, and bring my best package to the stage! There were plenty of times when I'd say to myself, hmm I should probably stop eating this ice cream or cookies now that I'm "X" weeks out, but it fits so f*ck it. Flexible dieting DEFINATELY has its time and place, but knowing that I personally don't have the best self-control with that approach, even this close to a show, I know that this is the best approach for me, at this time ๐Ÿค—

Anyhoo, here's my prep for the next 2 12s!

I always have my @1stphorm ignition & phormula-1 immediately post-lift to replenish the glycogen stores and start the recovery process right away. Seriously I never end a workout with this stack- it's helped tremendously with my overall soreness and ability to hit it just as hard the next day due to proper and quick recovery ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

I also have some eggs with bell peppers sautรฉed in coconut oil
.
Jasmine rice & shrimp
.
Brown rice, fiesta lime seasoned Pollock, green beans, and Roma tomatoes to be topped with fresh squeezed lime ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

Zoodles with grape tomatoes, peppers and 96/4 ground beef!

Just finished an upper body lift with my hubby. We have zero plans for today other than to enjoy our day off together ๐Ÿค—
