The anticipation of the coming weekend ๐Ÿ‘Š

Oh, the joy of Emmanuel - God is with us! ๐Ÿ’

Randomly my firstborn asked: What's your Korean name (as if she was meeting a stranger for the first time)? I told her: Lah-Yung.
Riles: Wait, Lah-Yung? Not 'Nah-Yung'? ๐Ÿค” (followed by silent contemplation).
Well, now she knows all of me. After nearly 5 years of hanging out, like, all the time. Isn't that somethin for a Tuesday night ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Congratulations, @kristine_likes ! This morning, my daughter helped me select the winner (see our Insta Story). Please DM your address, Kristine ;) Thanks everyone! โ™ก

Friends! In this season of giving, I'd like to gift these 10 clips: No need to tag/follow. You can simply share a good story with me about your friend with whom you'd like to share these clips. The winner will be announced on 12/18 :)
I'll go first: My friend's name is Julene. She & I are vastly different in the way we process things so often I'm curious to know how she views a situation. Almost always, it will blow my mind. She owns a bunny so am contemplating designing a bunny clip (oh lawd ๐Ÿคฃ). She also sometimes 'fasts' social media, which I think, is why she is untaggable at this very moment (seriously - it's a thing), but that is one of many things I love about her. Your turn! โ™ก

Congratulations @contentednomads โ™ก Thank you for participating, everyone!

This was at an apple orchard in Charlottesville. The girls are entering a stage where the activities we do are actually getting more fun for me than for them. Even the books I read to them are no longer accompanied by childish illustrations. We recently finished 'Where the Mountain Meets the Moon' (@ampc7) which made the nightly reading ritual quite the adventure. One night I read it to them for over an hour (bc it was that good). As I was trying to wrap it up, my oldest peeped and asked, 'so did the red string become the bridge, mommy?'. That was so creepy. She had been awake the whole time (!) and she was following every detail of the imagery. My soon to be 5 yr old. Isnt that amazing? Well, I was impressed. One can never underestimate what a young mind is capable of. What are you reading to/with your kids? Any good books you'd like to recommend?

It's been my secret ritual for the past few days: When the kids go down at night, turn Grey's on, stitch up these little fishes with magnets inside them. It's going to be wild to catch these with the girls. Can't wait to see their faces ๐Ÿก Can't wait for Christmas ๐Ÿ™ƒ

While one lassoed the sun, the other raked the leaves๐Ÿ‚

Let children have tales of the imagination, scenes laid in other lands and other times; heroic adventures, hairbreadth escapes, delicious fairy tales, even where it is all impossible, and they know it, and yet they believe.
