The part of #transformationtuesday I like the most is getting to know each person we feature - their back story and all about their journey to become happier and healthier. Each person has a different past, different reasons for choosing a healthier lifestyle and have had different obstacles but one thing that’s the same for everyone is their confidence. Telling your story can be tough! You babes bring insight into our Tuesday’s every week, so thank you 🖤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This week we learn from the insightful @angela.m.sloan 💞 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For 15 years of my life (come Thursday it will be half of the time I have been alive) I have struggled so deeply with my weight and my body. Eating disorders, dieting, over eating. Lies about my body that were whispered in my ear as a child that has stuck so solidly... until a year ago when it finally clicked that my body carried my child and nourished him for nearly 3 years. My body was his first home and it was that thought that made me want to change out of love for myself and not out of hate. So now over 30 kgs lighter and so much healthier, not just in my body but with my mental health too.
I’m still working on me, but I like myself more and more everyday. I love my mum tum because it carried my baby. I love my saggy boobs, cause they nourished him for nearly 3 years. I love my strong legs, cause they catch all my snacks I drop 😎. It’s a bloody journey mates. One you have to keep on with because the relationship you have with yourself is the closest you will ever have, why not put love into it instead of hating it so much. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Be kind with yourself 💕
