Always Loved, Never Forgotten, Rory Coe Sept 15, 1986 — May 22, 2016
A talented and daring kid grew up to be talented and daring young man. My nephew. He delivered many of what I consider some of my most fun and exciting photos. This was from the last year Yosemite had significant rain fall(July 2011). So much that in July the highest mountains still had snow. This water was raging so much and was so COLD that I only got in once the entire week we were there. He flipped over on his tube but never panicked. Got himself back up on the tube just in time for the scarier set of rapids. That's Rory. Excellent athlete in just about everything he tried. I got to play about 2-3 years worth of softball with him and a few of his friends to help fill out the team I had with some co-workers. He was the player I grew up wishing I could be. There's a lot of pain our family now as we lost this young man to a darkness all too familiar to families worldwide. Addiction to drugs poisoned his mind so much that he believed his only escape was to end his life with us here. Please, for anyone reading this that is dealing with addicting and/or suicide, seek help. If you can't find family or friends, find someone. Love is all around us. Someone will help. Don't take that next step because that cannot be undone. The burden you may feel that you are causing others is not nearly the same weight as the loss everyone will feel from losing you. I can't remotely imagine what any of you are going through, but try to fight for your life because even though you may not feel you deserve it, there are those that love you and will fight for you. But often we don't know how to fight for you. So tell us. Tell us that you want and need us to do. Because we want and need you. Always remember and never forget us.
