Christina Lowery  Making much of Jesus <——growing in grace and knowledge——> wife to one, mother to four, homeschooler, worship leader, being faithful with what He gives

Be careful where you place your trust. 🌿Cute sayings can make you smile, but the Word of the Lord endures forever. 🌿It’s fun to tag your friends with relatable sentiments, but the Word of the Lord endures forever. 🌿An encouraging talk can lighten your heart, but the Word of the Lord endures forever. 🌿Helpful advice can be needed and welcomed, but the Word of the Lord endures forever. 🌿Words that I (or anybody) speak or write may bless you today, but the Word of the Lord endures forever. 🌿I’m not saying that other words have no place in our lives, but I am saying that long after our feeble bodies have passed away, and long after all the grass and flowers are gone and the earth as we know it is no more, His Word will be standing. 🌿Be careful not to exchange all the “good” and “fun” things for the true and perfect Word that will live on forever. He will live on forever!!! Father, help me to invest my heart, time, and mind wisely! 💕🙌🏼

Romans 13
LOVE

We MUST get this right! We know we are called to this, but it’s another thing, entirely, to DO this! We must LOVE! Love our families. Love our church. Love our coworkers. Love our enemies. Love those we disagree with. Love the rude. Love the proud. Love the arrogant. Love those that are flat out wrong! Love those who believe in living in sins that break our Father’s heart! Love them. Not agree with them, or validate their untruths, or become like them in order to gain trust... just love them. Treat them with kindness and respect. Speak to them in truth and love whether they want to hear it or not. Be there for them in their times of need. Share what you have with them. .
Why? Not because I’m “better” than anyone, because any merit in me is because of Christ... not because it makes me look good or “Christianity” look good, though it is important to carry the name of Christ well... but I need to love them because they ALL bear the image of God! ALL of them. And we must love them as we love ourselves, as fellow image bearers.
Again, we know this, but I want to be better at practicing this. I want to not just know, and act like it with my deeds, I want to know and do it with my heart! .
.
Who do you need to start loving? How can you do that in a way that honors God? .

“Taste and see that the Lord is good”
.
This is a daily struggle with my youngest! 😂 I tell him, he doesn’t have to LIKE everything on his plate, but he has to TRY it. “Just TASTE it. You’ll see, buddy, it’s soooo good!” Well, he doesn’t always like it, but a lot of times, all it takes is a taste for him to realize that this wasn’t at all what he thought it was and it’s so much better than he thought.
Sometimes that’s the way it works with the Lord. People may have their ideas about Jesus: about what He is or isn’t... About whether or not they really like Him or have need for Him. But if they just get a taste of who He is, just a bite of His love, they’ll know that He IS good! He IS who He says He is; not who He may have been misrepresented or interpreted as, but who He REALLY is. And HE IS GOOD!
Taste and see! I pray I’m encouraging others to do that: Just taste and see! 💕💕💕And I’m also reminded to represent Him as fairly and honestly as I can as to not be a stumbling block to others who’ve not tasted of His goodness yet. .
.
Thank you God for your goodness! It’s a joy to be a recipient of Your grace and love!🙌🏼💕🙌🏼

Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all!
Jesus paid it all, friends!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 May my manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ.

Let us press on to know the Lord! 🙌🏼 . “Come, let us return to the Lord; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him. Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth."
‭‭Hosea‬ ‭6:1-3‬ ‭

May we have the wisdom to know what to do when the timing is appropriate. May we also have peace and joy, no matter the season.

Father, help us to seek Your face and to be willingly and joyfully subjected to your will and your ways. 🙌🏼

💛🍋💛 Need refreshing? Be one who refreshes others.
It’s as simple as sowing and reaping. 💛🍋💛 How do we refresh others? By being Christ like towards them. By loving, caring for, and speaking truth to... There are tons of different ways to to refresh others but true refreshing will always be Christ centered in both words and actions. I don’t mean things have to be overly spiritual, but ultimately Jesus is our source of all things good, so when we bless others, it should be abundantly clear that we are simply vehicles of His grace and love towards others. .
.

How can you refresh someone today? Ask yourself what would be a blessing to you, and then strive to do that for another. 💛

Good health in both body and soul... 💜

I’m writing through the plan from @swtblessshan again this month, Biblically centered on health and healing. It’s never too late to start... On the writing plan or on healthier habits.😘Lets do our best to honor God with what He’s given us! 🙌🏼

True wisdom is shown by the meekness of the spirit and temper.
.
.
James 3:13-18
“Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”

...Once was lost but now I’m found, was blind but now I SEE! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 .
.
Flee from the sin that once held you! And give others the grace to do the same, for He is able to cleanse from ALL unrighteousness! ♥️

The price He paid for you, dear friend, is incalculable! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 .
.
“You were bought with a price; do not become bondservants of men.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭7:23‬ ‭

No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.

Sanctification doesn’t come easily, friends, but it is always worth it! He is working a beautiful thing... keep clinging to Christ! 💕🙌🏼
