“I sought the Lord, and he answered me and rescued me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant with joy; their faces will never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him from all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34:4-7‬

God calls you to seek Him and Him only. Don’t focus on figuring out what He wants you to do. In His time He will show you what’s next, but you’ll miss it if you aren’t spending time with Him! “There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like alone are God.” // Psalm 86:8-10

Devotional by @abigailcole_ // Recently, I have been struggling with pride. I felt a need to be perfect, to help everyone, to be the spiritual giant in every situation. Jesus convicted me powerfully. He showed me that I had been trying to take His place in the lives of others. I am now stepping back and choosing to let Him, the only Perfect One, work through me. It’s about people seeing HIM not us. It’s about people knowing GOD not us. I challenge you to humble yourself today and put yourself at Jesus’ feet. You aren’t perfect, so don’t try to be. God uses those who let His perfection shine through their imperfection. // Romans 7:15-25

“Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will travel to such and such a city and spend a year there and do business and make a profit.” Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring — what your life will be! For you are like vapor that appears for a little while, then vanishes. Instead, you should say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” But as it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So it is sin to know the good and yet not do it.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4:13-17‬ // “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:13‬

God parted the sea through Moses and the people rejoiced in seeing God work mightily. God took shepherd David and used him to defeat a giant. People knew he served the almighty God. This is what God does; He uses people to show others His glory. Are you willing to let God use you so others can see Him?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-6‬

“‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.’” // Isaiah 55:8-9

“But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:8‬

It’s so easy to let ministry become an idol. It’s easy to get caught up in “working for God” instead of letting your life be a testimony of the work of Jesus Christ. Are you leading with the Gospel or letting ministry take precedence over the Message? // John 3:16
