#IssaLongOne Momma, I made it!!! Jk not really. But, one of my all time favorite brands thought that I was cute enough to use in their window display. Sandy cheeks, bruised leg, and all!
I only have a couple of brands that I genuinely believe in, and @aerie is at the top of the list. I think all women can agree that bathing suit shopping is a mental and emotional roller coaster. We’re our hardest critics and society creates this impossible standard of perfection that’s only attainable with photoshop. But when you’re scrolling through their website and you’re able to see other women with a shape like yours, stretch marks, natural hair, AND cellulite rocking a bikini, it takes a lot of the stress away. They’ve given me so much confidence when I’m at my beach happy place!
So thank you to @iskra for being the stunning (inside and outside!) catalyst for this whole new perception that I have about my body, @fopopps for helping me pick out my bathing suits because “if her butt looks good in it, mine will too”, and literally all of the aerie models for having the courage to join their campaign and not be retouched in their photos! I want to be like y’all when I grow up.
P.S. I’m trying not to hit “buy” on my cart full of suits right now 🙃#aeriereal
