Why a cute picture of houses? There is a reason, read on.
The end of March of this year my daughter and I started walking outside to get our 10K steps every day. We walk from stop sign to stop sign, back and forth, all day accumulating at least five miles in steps a day.
Since then we have met all our neighbors on our block through our daily walks. Let me tell you, what an unexpected blessing just walking down our street (seemingly a million times a day😉) has been!
At first everyone looked puzzled at the two dames walking back and forth. Then they started asking questions like "are y'all training for something"? Or "how many miles do y'all rack up a day?" Now they just smile, wave, and cheer us on. We've been told that we are inspiring people to get moving and start walking too.
That is so crazy to me, just by walking down our street we have inspired others and also met so many sweet people.
Now we have been adopted and everyone looks out for us (how sweet is that?😍) my trash guy says that "I own the street"! 😂 lol apprently my daughter and I can look kind of fierce when walking in the heat and our expressions are rather stern! I explained that we just feel like we are dying and thats why we have "Viking face" but in fact we are very kind people 😂.
I have renewed appreciation for the way God works since finding that He plopped us down right in the midst of such amazing people with such a wide diversity.
The point to all this is that God can use simple things like trying get our steps to make a big impact and send far reaching ripples that we can't even imagine.
Be a ripple y'all, spread that kindness everywhere you go!
