I drink out of this mug every day! It's got a crack in the bottom but doesn't leak, and is the only piece of my own work that I've kept that's been made in the past year or so. It's made the exact size I like my morning coffee mug to be and it fits my hands perfectly. I was thinking about how different mugs reflect the different people that have made them, and the different ways someone's personality and taste comes through. not necessarily in how a piece looks, but thru the different aspects of its functionality. I also started wondering why I don't keep more of my own work. I make these things specifically to my personal idea of what makes a perfect mug, so why don't I keep more of them since they are kinda sorta made specifically for me.

Welcome to edgeville

Black topographic mug with white interior. I've been on this topo game for 3 or 4 years now and it's still my favorite design.

I think this is my favorite tumbler of all the colorful swirly pieces I've been making here lately.

Heyyyyy new cactus mugs came out of the kiln last night. I wrote my name extra cool on this batch. You can find me set up with all these new cuties at The Austin Flea tomorrow at Radio Coffee from 10-4. πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

Dang, a year ago today I drew up the blueprints for my studio. I had no idea how to build a building and just dove straight in and learned thru the process of building it. It was a really fun and rewarding experience, and it gives me a real sense of self worth when I think about the things I can do when I put my mind to them. I'm really proud of that lil studio and I'm really proud of myself for making it happen.

Not being alone on Valentine's Dayβ„’ for once is pretty nice

Sometimes the swirls are on the inside

Come see me at the farmers markets this weekend! I'll be at Barton Creek on Saturday and HOPE on Sunday. I'll have lots of new work with me, including a bunch of these swirly guys. Hope to see ya there :):):)
