Prawn fritters served with haloumi and avocado! By the time we were done with this dish it looked like it was licked clean, too good!

Great thing about their seasonal menu is that it you can expect new twists on great classics, like these fritters! The additional sides of haloumi and avocado were a tasty touch! Micheline says the best thing about running Longshot is all the satisfied customers that leave the café and all the compliments they recieve!

You had us at Wagyu Burger! Rupert felt like something hearty and this definitely hit the spot!

Co-owners Micheline and Andrew came from corporate backgrounds and had actually worked together before deciding to run the established café. Transitioning from corporate to hospitality definitely sounds like it would have its challenges. However Micheline and Andrew are hands on and learn quickly as they go! They also have loyal staff that have been at Longshot for 6 years that helped the transition!

Walking into the cafe we were immediately struck by the bustling and lively vibe, especially for a Sunday morning. It definitely had that great community and family atmosphere and you immediately feel welcome! A local herself Micheline takes pride in running the cafe, mentioning that regulars have been coming for over 10 years!

Next stop is Longshot café in the heart of Beecroft. A local darling that has been in the community for over 17 years! Longshot offers great seasonal dishes and equally great coffee served up by the lovely and hospitable staff. It’s easy to see why the locals love it so much!

We had a chat to co-owner Micheline who took over management last year, while eating some delicious dishes! More on Longshot in the coming posts.

Tiffany tells us that it was the perfect storm when Giorgio reopened. As well as navigating the difficulties of transitioning from the established Aero Cafe, They had to compete with all the construction happening on George St! The timing may have been slightly off but Tiffanys belief isn't! Giorgio Brasserie with it's delicious dishes and great service will be the place to be!

This house made Porchetta is a Giorgio Brasserie specialty! It is as mouthwatering as it looks! 😋

Tiffany puts her full trust in head Chef Mario Percuoco, a renowned fourth generation Chef from the famed Percuoco Culinary clan. And we ask who better to cook Italian food then someone that has it running through their veins for 4 generations?! It's no wonder the food made us feel like we were right back in Italy. 😍

Tiffany tells us that each dish has its own story and inspiration incorporated by the talented and passionate Mario. We will be back to hear these stories for sure!

We've been obsessed with anything squid ink after our Europe trip. And this Squid Ink Taglioni only further fuels the obsession! The plate looked like it was licked clean by the end 😂

Giorgio's take so much pride in the quality of their food. Tiffany tells us that she and her brother personally buy the seafood fresh from the Sydney Fish Markets daily!

We love our seafood so this Octopus Salad was a must. Our tastebuds were definitely cheering after each spoonful! 😋

Tiffany is passionate about food and how food brings people closer together.

Her vision for Giorgio Brasserie is to have an intimate setting and familial atmosphere where her patrons have a great time, sharing dishes as if they are at home with family and friends! This is evident in their Menu, having no set entrees or mains just the names and descriptions of the delicious dishes ready to share!

This Foccacia Del Giorno gave us flashbacks of our time in Florence! 😋

What's in a name? Being located on George St, Tiffany thought they'd give it an Italian twist. Ingeniously the word George was made Italian, hence Giorgio! It was like a big reveal for us and we both just went 'oohhhh!'

Tiffany and her family took over management of (previously named) Aero Cafe Restaurant. After successfully running Aero, Tiffany wanted a change and make the restaurant their own. In November 2017 Aero was transformed into Giorgio Brasserie! As luck would have it Mario answered their call to be the head Chef and the rest was history! .
