1: 40s. Gymnastics weakness
2. 40s. Weightlifting weakness
3. 40s. Monostructural weakness
I chose legless rope climbs, squat cleans and running. I set weight and rep targets to make sure it was a challenge.

I challenged myself to one month of no belt, no sleeves, no lifters just my body.

Can’t believe it’s been more than a week since the @crossfitgames 😱

I still have thank yous to give!πŸ€— Firstly, the amazing physio team @nxtgphysio who helped me just as much physically as mentally. Between events they would relieve my aches and pains while making me laugh. They truly were my second family out there and I can’t thank them enough.
@dom.nxtgphysio @chris.nxtgphysio @daphiie You guys made my experience so much better, thank you!!! Second, my coach @jonathan_allard_personal who made it all possible. 3 years of going to regionals without making the games. 1 year with you and I made it to the games and came in 25th! This speaks volumes about your ability as a coach. Thank you for giving up your Friday’s and Saturday’s to spend all day working out with me. Thank you for accepting that my mindset isn’t perfect and that my abilities are limited. You I never gave up on me.
Thirdly, thank you @comptrain.co. Your programming allowed me to feel ready to take on the challenge of being at the games. I felt prepared and ready to face whatever was put in front of me. It was more than programming, it was working on our mindset, our goals both broad and specific for the workouts. The amount of detail put in the programming is outstanding. Anyone who is serious about training should follow @comptrain.co, it’s a game changer.
Lastly, @m2performancenutrition . Such a discovery this year for me. If you have struggled with nutrition and following a nutrition plan, m2 is for you. I have struggled with an eating disorder and it has always been difficult to follow anything related to food. Mike helped me understand the importance of Carbs for performance and has been available for all my questions and insecurities.Thank you so much @m2performancenutrition

Being an affiliate owner and a games athlete is the hardest thing I have ever done.

You have supported me since this adventure began! Whether it was having people come train with me, allowing me to train during classes and taking up the space, organizing fundraisers, receiving messages of support, watching me on the TVs at the gym and at home, balloons and flowers to celebrate my success. I am absolutely the luckiest athlete out there.
I know I could arrive 1st or dead last and it wouldn’t matter, you guys would always be proud of me.

The @crossfitgames 2018 as a rookie was quite the experience! It had been a 5 year journey in the making and I couldn’t be prouder of my efforts! Entered the weekend in 37th place and battled my way up for 25th!
It truly is the best test of who is the fittest on earth.
I wanted to start by thanking my biggest support system, my family and boyfriend!
Without them, I would not have made it to this level of competition. Prepping meals, arranging my schedule, driving to the hotel and back, listening to my emotional breakdowns, putting their needs aside so that I could sleep better, eat better, get in an extra training and much more. It’s not possible to qualify for the games doing it alone. It takes an entire support system and I am lucky to have my parents and my boyfriend believing in me.
Thank you for being a part of this 5 year journey and making it possible for me. I love you guys ❀️😘 More thank you to come πŸ€—
