This Tuesday, there is an election in Los Angeles. Charter Amendment C is up for vote and is being opposed by Black Lives Matter LA, the ACLU, White People 4 Black Lives and every other progressive leader and organization in the City.
This proposed amendment by the Police Protective League is trying to use the language of "community oversight" to get the community to vote against their own best interests by essentially allowing officers accused of misconduct to choose their own juries. We cannot let this happen. They've spent over a million dollars trying to get support for this, so we the people, need to show up and spread the message to our fellow Angelenos that we need MORE police accountability, not LESS.
Please tag 3-5 people that live in LA and make sure you get out THIS Tuesday to vote #NoOnC !!! For more info please google LA Times article titled "Measure C pretends to be about police reform. Instead, it's a noxious sleight of hand. Vote no." @blmlosangeles @wp4rj @aclu_socal @aclu_nationwide
