BOSTON’S STREET DOGS ANNOUNCE A SOCIALLY-CONSCIOUS FUELED ALBUM OF ANTHEMS FOR THE WORKING CLASS ‘STAND FOR SOMETHING OR DIE FOR NOTHING’ OUT JUNE 22nd VIA CENTURY MEDIA; EAST COAST AND WEST COAST SUMMER TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED
When vocalist Mike McColgan isn’t busy working with the Boston Fire Department as a 911 dispatcher, he’s bringing joy to people by writing and performing with his punk rock outfit @streetdogsofficial . The band is gearing up for the release of their anthemic sixth studio album Stand for Something or Die for Nothing on June 22, 2018 via Century Media. In addition, they’ll be doing a run of East Coast and West Coast dates this Summer. “The dumbing down of America is a reason to write songs in 2018,” vows McColgan. “The theme is wake the f*ck up and the working class needs to unite across all colors, creeds, nationalities, genders and realize that we are being pitted against each other by snake oil salesmen and autocrats.” Stand for Something or Die for Nothing is a punk rock album for the new era. “Punk, to me, is people living how they want to not how they are told to,” insists McColgan. From freedom of speech (“Stand for Something or Die for Nothing”) to living The American Dream (“Working Class Heroes”) to getting back on track (“The Comeback Zone”) – Stand for Something or Die for Nothing raises political awareness and injects optimism into those who have doubts about their future and the current administration.
The album was recorded at Woolly Mammoth Studios, Sugarland Studio, and Q Division Studio with bassist Johnny Rioux in the producer’s chair, mix master Sean Cahalin at the desk, and mastering ace Jeff Lipton navigating.

LUCIFER SIGN RECORD DEAL WITH CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS

CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS are proud to announce the signing of heavy rockers @lucifertheband who will release their much anticipated, second studio album, “Lucifer II”, July 6, 2018.
Singer Johanna Sadonis comments: "We are beyond thrilled to roll our Heavy Rock tank to the monster fortress of Century Media. What better place to kick off the new chapter! This should go together like Buck Dharma and his mustache. Here's to an unholy union!" Jens Prueter, Head Of A&R Europe adds: “We are very proud to support LUCIFER’s next chapters. I met Johanna a couple of times and was always impressed about her strong vision for LUCIFER. The addition of Nicke Andersson makes it even more interesting, because he always contributed the highest level of rock’n’roll to every band he has been involved in. Looking forward to see LUCIFER rising!” Apart from a new label home, the follow up to 2015’s “Lucifer I” also marks the first studio release of the new LUCIFER incarnation now consisting of vocalist Johanna Sadonis, guitarist Robin Tidebrink, and multi-instrumentalist Nicke Andersson, who plays drums and also took over bass and guitar when recording “Lucifer II”. The band’s live line-up also features Martin Nordin (Dead Lord) on guitar and bass player Alexander Mayr. “Lucifer II” was recorded at the Honk Palace in Stockholm and Ola Ersfjord (Dead Lord, Tribulation, Primordial) mixed it at Cuervo Recording Service in Madrid.
Originally, LUCIFER formed in Berlin back in 2014 consisting of singer Johanna Sadonis and members from Cathedral, Angel Witch and Ladytron. Citing Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Blue Öyster Cult, Lucifer’s Friend, Steppenwolf, 70’s Heart and Fleetwood Mac as inspiration.

With a shift of constellation within the band in 2016 and Johanna Sadonis moving from Berlin to Stockholm, LUCIFER are now ready for an exciting new chapter in their career. With Nicke Andersson (The Hellacopters, Entombed, etc.), Sadonis found a congenial new song-writing partner, and “Lucifer II” turns out to be a strong sonic statement.

MEGADETH ANNOUNCE “KILLING IS MY BUSINESS…AND BUSINESS IS GOOD: THE FINAL KILL” DELUXE RE-ISSUE OF ICONIC DEBUT ALBUM

Hailed as “The Best Thrash Metal Debut Album All Time” (VH1), legendary thrash metal trailblazers @megadeth will continue to celebrate the band’s 35th Anniversary with a deluxe re-issue of their revolutionary debut album, “Killing Is My Business…and Business Is Good!”. The band have partnered with Century Media and Legacy Recordings for a June 8, 2018 release in North America & Europe, and in Japan on June 6, 2018 via Sony Japan. “Killing Is My Business...and Business Is Good - The Final Kill” has been completely restored to DAVE MUSTAINE’s intended vision. Remixed by veteran metal mixer, Mark Lewis (Trivium, Death Angel, Devildriver, Whitechapel) and re-mastered by Ted Jensen for an optimal listening experience, the 2018 version reveals previously unheard parts and performances throughout the record, including a missing drum performance found during the mixing sessions. This rare gem includes the full original album, along with 7 live audio tracks from VHS tapes found in MUSTAINE’s own attic!

In addition to the bonus live tracks, the re-issue also features MEGADETH’s 1984 3-track demo and the previously removed cover of “These Boots”, that has been added back to the record with recut vocals true to Lee Hazelwood’s version.
The re-issue is further enhanced by new album cover artwork, as seen showcased above, featuring a fully executed sculpture of the iconic skull that has been lost over the many years since the album’s initial release. The packaging artwork also includes classic flyers and band photos pulled from their archive of timeless metal moments from MEGADETH’s storied 35-year history. ‘The Final Kill’ is the complete vision of main man, MUSTAINE, who commented stating, “I am just as much amazed at the music we made as I am at the pure fact that we survived it all!”. MUSTAINE further delves into the struggles during that time period as well as some of the surprising moments during the remixing sessions throughout the re-issue’s liner notes.

@atthegates_official PREMIERE NEW VIDEO SINGLE: "A STARE BOUND IN STONE"! Swedish melodic Death Metal pioneers AT THE GATES continue pre-promoting their much anticipated new studio album “To Drink From The Night Itself”, out May 18, 2018 via CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS  by launching its second single and video.
Check out “A Stare Bound In Stone” in a video-clip created by Costin Chioreanu / Twilight 13 Media (who was also in charge of the album’s artwork concept) here: https://youtu.be/oIj6ufFSESU (in bio)
You can now pre-order “To Drink From The Night Itself” in its various formats here:

AT THE GATES frontman Tomas Lindberg comments on the track as follows: "For the second single release of the album we wanted this menacing stormer, fast aggressive verses, heavy chorus and an evil mantra of an ending. This, for me, depicts the desperate, urgent mood of the record. I think it could be one of the most aggressive songs we have ever written. This album is so diverse, and includes so much different elements that it is hard to boil down those essences to just one song. This song has a lot of them though, more to come soon. For the video-shoot we wanted to work with Costin on this one, as he is an essential part of this record. We felt that he knew exactly what kind of emotions we wanted to get across, and how to capture them artistically. I see this video as a brilliant complement to the song. Enjoy!" On the live-front, AT THE GATES are headed to the U.S. to perform at Decibel’s Metal & Beer Fest this weekend - 3/31  Philadelphia, PA
