Unlike a number of Canadian farms that have either closed or made themselves off-limits to hordes of selfie-seekers looking for the perfect picture in a sunflower field. Steve Kustermans of Mount Brydges says “bring it on.” For a fee, tourists can take a selfie, even take the flowers home. 🌻

Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir said “thank you” to their hometown of Ilderton and their fans Saturday, with a parade and a concert in order to show their appreciation for all their years of support. The ice dancing pair became the most decorated figure skaters in Olympic history at the Games in South Korea earlier this year.

London celebrates France World Cup title ⚽️

Talks are set to take place Thursday at the world’s largest salt mine in Goderich, Ontario. 350 workers have been on strike for 11 weeks now that what was an increasingly confrontational dispute between Unifor, the union representing workers and Compass Minerals, the American company that owns the mine.

Tigistu Shewangizaw is from Ethiopia and received his Canadian citizenship on Canada Day. Once he has his passport, he plans to bring his children for a trip back to his home country. “I am very happy,” he said. “Very, very, very happy.”
