It's not even midday yet and today has been EPIC. Rainy morning cups of tea with @supyogimatt at @the_hubro followed by AcroYoga and Handstands. Then I found a quiet spot down near Merewether Baths and played with pressing. One day, I'll be able to press up from the ground! Maybe I'll try that later today. Actually, I'll probably be napping. Woo! πŸ¦πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈβ˜€β˜”οΈ

This word continues to come to me during our Tuesday night meditation with @thecheekyintuitive - I can picture myself standing tall and strong. I can fee myself digging in and creating roots. Allowing myself to feel grounded and connected. Last night's words 'you are exactly where you need to be' are an extension of this resolve. Feeling unsure of your footing, of your place in the world? Remember, you are exactly where you need to be. 🦁🌡

Sometimes I base like a boss. Disclaimer: probably held this for abooouut 2 seconds 🦁😝

Working on it! I think a really great step in moving forward and stepping into your power is acknowledging that you ARE magic and HAVE magic to start with. For so long I truly believed that there was nothing special about me. That I was just another typical face in a sea of people trying to get by. Fuck, was I wrong. I AM MAGIC. I'm starting to let it out of it's cage. It doesn't have to stay hidden in the dark. Thankyou @thecheekyintuitive 🦁🌻

It's raining. Again. Why is it always raining?! I actually really like rainy days, but this has been going on for far too long now! Here's hoping we get some sun over the weekend β˜€

Just because it's a week for listening to and playing @brookefraser - this song is Shadowfeet (and my besties twin brothers happened to direct the video for this song) β€πŸ¦πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸš€ I might post a slightly longer version on Facebook later today!

Making shapes, being creative and getting upside down. These are a few of my favourite things πŸ¦πŸ¦„πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ thanks @supyogimatt πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸš€

Tonight I started to doubt myself. That old fear-based story came back with a vengeance and I started questioning my self-worth. Then I had a teeny chat with a colleague and what he said (unintentionally) made me feel worse. Cue: almost being in tears driving home. Then I was almost home and I realized that what he'd said was no reflection on me as a person at all. Obviously. It actually gave me an idea (after feeling sorry for myself). So now I'm choosing to be grateful. I'm grateful that I can feel. I'm grateful that I can connect. I'm grateful that people come to my yoga classes. I'm grateful for this life I am living. So shit doesn't always happen how you want it too. Therefore, my squirrels are at a rave. πŸ“· @dharmabumsactive πŸ¦„πŸ¦

Today I wrote a to-do list and proceeded to play my guitar instead. Basically my house was procrastination central. Therefore, enjoy Love, Where Is Your Fire by Brooke Fraser πŸ¦β˜”οΈπŸ’

Want to know a secret about handstands?

There's no one way to 'perfect' being on your hands, other than being on your hands. Practice, practice, practice. Practice until its second nature. Until you don't even have to consciously think about all the things that go into creating a stable handstand.
Here's what practicing handstands will do:

It'll make you stronger.
It'll make you understand what TENACITY means (and what it means to have it).
It'll make you focus and give you an outlet.
It'll remind you that life should be FUN and it'll connect you with people who have similar interests.
I could go on.

Here's what it won't do:

It won't make you a better person.
It won't make you happier (you know, deep down on the inside). It won't help you pay your bills and it won't make people like you more (but maybe you'll connect with new people!). Try it, see how it feels!

This is where I feel most FREE β˜€πŸ¦πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ

SPIN πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈπŸ¦ Thanks @supyogimatt πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

It's so easy to post quotes like this on social media. I say keep them coming! But are we posting and actually actioning? I hope so. I'm obsessively grateful even though sometimes it can be hard.
