Caution Long Post ahead 😂😂 22 Shows since I turned Pro in July of 2014. My Pro debut was in Aug 2014 where I placed 14th. My coach at the time thought it was best I compete in the masters division at the Pro Level (little did she know) that my determination was huge and my goal was to make it in the open division despite my age. I knew in my heart I had the physique to battle it out with all the beautiful young Professional Bikini Athletes in the open division (which for those that don't know the details of the sport "OPEN" means all ages, all heights)
I've gotten 3 first places which have allowed me to participate in The Olympia in Vegas in 2015, 2016 and I was the 1st athlete to qualify for 2017. So it will be my 3rd year in a row competing with the best of the best. After my pro debut I've placed top 5 in 17 of those 22 show. So yes I'm a little spoiled 😂😂 Now, drum roll please.... lol with all that being said I placed 8th last night at the NY Pro. Disappointed?! Yes!! Of course specially after placing 4th out of 30 girls in Pittsburgh just 2 weeks ago and then placing 2nd in Florida.
There was 37 beautiful athletes at this show and the 2nd biggest show I've done. But I'm more than happy with the physique I brought to the stage and I wouldn't change a thing. Hey you win some, you loose some. Like I said in my previous post my attitude and effort is all I'm in control of.
I had planned on one more show this season which is "The Toronto Super Show" next weekend. I've been wanting to explore and visit this City. Staying a couple of extra days to celebrate my husbands bday. We are going with a group of friends!! So I'm extra excited for this one! Taking some time off this summer before it gets serious again and it's time to prep for the Olympia 2017.
I want to thank my Sponsors @divinenutrition @lou_denofrio @buffbikinis and all those that have been part of my journey. Thank you for believing in me and encouraging me day in and day out. Pics @npcnewsonlineofficialpage @aroundthenpc_jm
