So....I have some really exciting news to tell you all! The other day I had a specialist appointment and my doctor has told me that I’m in the last stages of wearing my brace! Two years ago I started wearing this contraption for 23 hours a day, and recently my hours changed to 18 hours a day. Last week I was told I now only have to wear it for 12-14 hours a day, which is life changing as it means I can be out of this thing most of the day! And...all going well, in November I will only have to wear it to sleep in, and hopefully by January I’ll be out of it for good!
I’m so happy with my progress, and can’t believe that I’ve finally made it to this point. It’s been 2 long years of hard work, pain and lots of tears, but it’s paid off and I couldn’t be happier! All the love, encouragement and support that I’ve had through this time from everyone has been amazing, so I just want to take this time to thank you all because some days I felt like giving up! I’m just so excited as I can now wear any clothes I want without having to cover it up! And, I can also move, tie my shoes, and open my own guitar case! I can also start gigging again which is the best news ever!! Not long to go now, hopefully 6 more months 😊
