Leading a healthy lifestyle is about creating healthier habits, not restrictions.
It's about getting to know yourself and finding your own balance.

I don't follow a specific diet. I don't count calories or macros. I don't meal prep. I don't stress about missing a workout. I am mindful of my thoughts. I have a healthy relationship with food and a healthy relationship with my body.
I've figured out what works for me and I've found my balance.

I work with many women with PCOS - and by far one of the best dietary recommendations for women suffering with PCOS is to control their blood sugar levels (as insulin resistance and chronically elevated blood sugar levels play a key role in PCOS symptoms)

My top tips on balancing your blood sugar levels through nutrition:
1. Eat balanced snacks and meals that include whole foods containing high quality protein, fibre, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats as this will slow the rate of digestion and moderate blood sugar levels.
2. Focus on high quality carbohydrate sources, and opt for complex carbohydrates with simple carbohydrates when possible as they take longer to break down which will help balance out your energy levels!
3. Do your best to avoid eating excessively large portions of refined sugars/carbohydrates (especially without a high quality protein and healthy fat source)

Win the battle with winter-time eczema!

Eczema is a common skin condition that affects many people! Unfortunately, the dry air during the winter months can cause flare-ups and make eczema symptoms worse.

Side leg press with alternating foot placings.
When using the leg press the conventional way, my favourite foot placing is a wide stance with my feet pointed outwards, as it has more emphasis on my adductors and hamstrings.
A shoulder width stance is great for overall leg development and a narrow stance will have more emphasis on your outer quads and abductors. Of course, it's usually in your best interest to alternate between different placings.
Something to remember: The higher the foot placing, the more emphasis you will have on your glutes and hamstrings. The lower the foot placing, the more emphasis you will have on your quads. 👯 Tag a friend you want to try this with!
