We had a blast with my upper body #LeanArms routine... grab a set of dumbbells and give these 5 exercises a whirl...
1. Front punches
2. Arm circles (switch direction half way)
3. Palm up rows
4. Lunge with wood hop (switch sides half way)
5. Sprinters arms
60 seconds each exercise, 5 rounds (60 secs rest btw rounds)

Knowledge is power when it comes to understanding our body and how it best responds to diet and exercise and one plan certainly doesn't fit all... Recently I took a genetic DNA test with @dnafithq and today I received the results which have blown me away...
Firstly I genetically favour endurance training - this was a shock as I've spent my life as a power athlete.
Secondly my body requires a low carbohydrate diet but as I metabolise them quickly I can use them functionally well whilst I should consume a whopping 37% of daily intake as fat (10% saturated fat). A third interesting factor was that I've very little sensitivity to alcohol...maybe I should start drinking more lol (just kidding!) There was so much more info regarding my diet which my coach @kimingleby interpreted for me, including my need for double recommended dose of omega 3's and increased B12. I'm going to set about making changes for optimal health and performance. Take a look at the @dnafithq page if you think you could benefit from genetic profiling in this way. I'd never thought of doing it before as I felt as a nutritionist myself I had a good grasp on my diet but now I can understand much better what my individual body needs.
