As we reflect on freedom... β€œThe care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only object of good government.” ~Thomas Jefferson πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έβ€οΈ

San Francisco...🌲 #nobodyelse

A new approach to skull makingβ€” starting with a ball instead of a slab. Not as easy as I thought...😐

πŸ’™ bird, bird, moon. πŸ’™

The last couple of days I’ve been feeling so raw, sensitive and vulnerable. I’m experiencing so much sadness and tears flow and flow and flow. Maybe the reason for all the tears is that being human is just so hard sometimes and it hurts my heart to see all the things that are happening in the world right now (I know that there are good things too). My heart goes out to all the children. Maybe I’m also crying their tears. I pray for a better, more compassionate and loving world for all of us. πŸ¦‹πŸ‘ΌπŸ» #somanytears

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank,
people may cheat you.
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building,
someone could destroy overnight.
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness,
they may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today,
people will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough.
Give the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis it is between you and God; it was never between you and them anyway. ~ Mother Teresa 🌸 #kindness #motherteresa

Little garden things... 🐭

B L U E B E E S! This beautiful creature is back and once again its presence here is a complete mystery to me. For the last few years I have spotted this blue bee in our garden. It seems to be attracted to flowers of its own color (blue). In the past I’ve only ever seen one at a time but today I saw four, gathering nectar from our witches hat plant. It has bright yellow legs and opalescent blue banding, hence the name blue-banded bee. But it’s native to Australia so what the heck are they doing here in San Francisco? Very mysterious indeed....πŸ€”πŸπŸŽ½ #bluebandedbee #deepdive
