Made it to Chattanooga (despite rampant flight cancellations!) and am settled into home-away- from-home vacation life. But right before this, I had one of the best mini-vacations EVER at the @trappfamilylodge in Stowe! I left my laptop at home, and @dj_fuents and I made our way up through the snowy mountains to our cozy home for the night, ordered all the things at the Bierhall, and stayed up late into the evening gossiping and giggling fireside. I grew up in a very rural part of upstate NY, and the Trapp Family Lodge reminded me of how enjoyable winter can be in a non-city environment—when you don’t mind being snowed in because it’s all snow-covered trees and hillsides just outside of your warm, cozy bubble. (Though my childhood home didn’t have saunas, a sugar shack, or a restaurant where I could eat my weight in delicious soft pretzels, schnitzel, and all the wursts!) I’m so psyched to have had the opportunity to partner with @bookingcom to experience this amazing place, and I’m already dreaming up plans to return in the summer, when everything is lush and green, and I’m more partial to outdoor activities. 😎🤗
Not at all surprisingly, the Trapp Family Lodge is part of @bookingcom’s ‘Book the U.S.’ List, which highlights the most unique places to stay in the 50 US states + DC. They’re currently holding a Chief Booking Officer contest that involves $50k and lots of travel to these various spots for the winner! You can find out more and enter at Booking.com/BooktheUS.
