"The Blue Marble" is a photograph of the Earth, taken on December 7, 1972, by the crew of the Apollo 17 spacecraft, at a distance of about 45,000 kilometers (28,000 miles). It is one of the most reproduced images in human history and was the first time the wider population were able to see the beauty of this fragile planet.
Today this rare and precious jewel, as far as we currently know, is alone in the universe in its ability to support life. Shame on you Donald Trump for choosing profit for your 1% elitist buddies over the preservation of life on spaceship Earth. #sad
