Having an affair with one of my favorite men, Monet,
If you visit Paris, Monet's garden is a MUST do day trip. Try to get there early to avoid the crowd. You can easily take the train from Paris to Giverny, and the shuttle bus to the garden. If you buy your return ticket in advance, give yourself plenty of time to visit the lovely village too. I would go on a Thursday, take the train around 8 am. Spend the morning at the garden, lunch around the village and get back to Paris around 2-3. Then go directly to Musée de l'Orangerie to see Monet's water-lily paintings. Musee D'orsay opens until 9:45 on Thursday. You can spend the rest of your afternoon and night at Musee D'orsay and have affairs with impressionism and post-impressionist masterpieces
What is your favorite thing to do in and around Paris?
