What I love most of contemporary art is that many times you can be part of the creation. This picture was taken in a 360 recreation of the Berlin Wall and trying to participate in it was hard. It was very easy to be part of the picture -it was genius. But at the same time, it was so hard to keep distance from the pain, from the pain of the people who suffered from this abrupt lack of democracy and separation from their families for almost 30 years. I share with you the words of the artist: Yadegar Asisi, they were very valuable to me. "History has often demonstrated that conditions can change overnight- for the better as well as for the worse. Nothing we have achieved will remain with us of its own accord. Although each generation harbors the danger of losing supposedly secure things, it can, however, also stabilize and further develop what has already been achieved. In the awareness that the world allows more than one single point of view or social system, we have to set forth into a future, in which people from a wide range of cultures, religions, as well as customs and practices can live together in peace and freedom. This is the challenge to generations to come - shaping this togetherness and seeking dialogue. And if we do not succeed in this, then the next walls will not be long in coming."
