It's National Selfie Day. Millennials get a bad rap for our selfies - shallow, vain, self-obsessed. But fuck that. Women and girls spend our whole lives listening to other people tell us there's something wrong with how we look. Too fat, too dark, too much makeup, not enough makeup, not enough ANYTHING. So on the day you check the mirror and actually like what you see, document and share the hell out of it! I love seeing my friends' selfies: no male gaze, just you, the way you want the world to see you, in your moment of empowerment. So make your duck lips or wear no makeup or put seven filters on it or whatever the hell you want. I ❤️seeing you as you like to be seen.
And to all the teenage girls following me: you're enough right now, so share it. Grumpy olds are just jealous of you. (I am.) 💁

When golden hour hits the whole squad just right. ❤️🔥

one of my favorite tattoos ❤️

Happy Father's Day to the guy who taught me to laugh off a face-first toboggan crash -- literally and metaphorically. @dougmackenzie111

So maybe I pulled over to take a selfie because golden hour was an actual IRL insta filter.

The happiest birthday to my most magical friend ✨ I love you @_megmasters!! Thank you for the laughter, for all the Texas adventures, and for being my most favorite concert buddy... even when it results in a broken nose. I'm glad we're growing old together & I hope Parker and Humphrey give you the sloppiest kisses when you get home tonight. 🐶

... but it's a damn good day to be in Los Angeles. Happy Pride, everybody. 🌈 🌈 🌈 thanks to my LGBT friends who are leading a revolution just by living your truths & loving each other despite the darkness. I'm grateful to you. #RESIST

Leaving Texas is my least favorite thing to do.
Thanks for another perfect weekend in my favorite city, y'all. ❤️

This @rupikaur_ poem nicely sums up Hayley's journey on tonight's episode of #TheOriginals. It was a really tough episode for me to write -- there is a LOT of violence against women in it -- and it was a tough one to film, too. Looking forward to hearing what you guys think of it. ❤️
