Tried an orangetheory class for the first time the other day and I think I died (jk) (it was fun)

(Slowly) getting to that 5 mile point! The chafe is real rn πŸ˜‚πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

A very sweaty and inflexible girl trying yoga with results as expected πŸ˜‚#yogafail #workingonit #whyliftingismoremything

Tried the power squat machine for the first time today, and it looks like it took a chomp on my shoulder πŸ˜‚ (Guess that's kinda fitting for it to be right over my shark tooth tat?) #chomp #powersquat

Haven't been feeling the best lately, so I decided to go for a trail run to clear my mind. Stumbled across some fairy houses that definitely lifted my moodβ˜ΊοΈπŸ¦‹

Beyond excited to announce that today was my first day as a trainer at Top Form in Clifton park! Can't wait to see where it takes me and what I'll learn along the way πŸ‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ🏼

Awkward exercise alert!
These are 🐸Frog Pumps 🐸(credit to The Glute Guy @bretcontreras1)
Press your feet together like during a butterfly stretch, then press your hips up while squeezing those glutes! Place a dumbbell on your hips to make this harder. Just make sure you're not resting your butt on the ground in between reps!
Bonus exercise: Walk out planks! Make sure you're switching up which arm you go down/up on each time.
PS- check out my sweet gym aka my parents basement. Also I had to reupload this because it wasn't muted and I'm pretty sure you guys don't wanna hear my heavy breathing/sniffling 🀧

Confession- My biggest weakness by far is cardio, especially running. So naturally my goal for the summer is to run 5 miles. I can never seem to push past 2, so this will be super fun. Got 2.4 miles down this morning and it was rough, but I'm excited to see how far I can get.

Kind of in between gyms right now (yay graduating, bye free campus gym) so in the meantime I'll try to post some good at home bodyweight workouts. ✌🏼

~not a fitness post~ but it's nice to feel confident enough to wear a crop top, which I have always been way too afraid to do. πŸ’—

A post two days in a row!? Battle ropes are one of my favorite methods to use as a burnout at the end of an upper body day. But they're not just for upper body (jump slams!).There are so many things you can do with ropes so they're awesome for circuits. Play around with them!
Bonus points if you get whipped in the face with your hair like I did

So one of my goals is to be able to do a pull-up and I'm close! The method I'm using to get there is doing eccentric (or negative) pull-ups. Get up to the start position then *SLOWLY* lower yourself back down, and repeat! If thats too difficult and you feel like you're not able to do these properly, try getting to the start position and holding it for as long as you can (remember the flexed arm hang in gym class?) Try to hold it for a few seconds longer every time. ✌🏻 #fitness #pullups #personaltraining #gym #eccentricworkouts

Hangin' out πŸ‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Ok cheesy caption out of the way, a huge problem I see with people lifting is that when they're done with their set, their form goes out the window. Putting down your weights improperly leaves you open to a serious injury. Even though you're tired, don't treat putting the weight down as a throwaway part of the exercise. Keep that back flat! Lift heavy but lift smart. (Ok lecture over)
