💥SIMPLE RULES TO LOSING FAT AND NOT YOUR MIND 💥
Personally I'm an advocate of flexible dieting and it's for good reason, it's based on science and logic, so yeah I'm basically pro eat whatever you like, within reason of course.
Because it's as simple as this, if your goal is fat loss, the far most important point is that you are in a caloric deficit so with that in mind, all foods can fit into this as long as it's a deficit and you're consistent with that. Secondly... if you don't cut food groups, food types etc then you're much more likely to adhere and that means sustainability.
What else is really important? Protein... this is also paramount. Not only does it satisfy your appetite and keep you adhering to your flexible diet it keeps your body in a position to repair itself, which happens constantly. For men 1.6-2.2g of protein per kg of bodyweight and for women 1-1.6g of protein per kg of bodyweight.
Don't get me wrong, only because you eat your protein and stay in a deficit doesn't mean your diet should be full of junk, it means you have the ability to have the odd treat which fits into your numbers whilst you have the assurance that it's not a negative to your goals and that positive knowledge assists in keeping any unneeded and false guilt away.
Lastly but still very important, get your fibre. It doesn't just keep your digestive system running smooth, it feeds your gut flora which in turn not only helps your immune system but there's evidence that it may lower the risk of obesity and diabetes, which goes hand in hand with your fat loss goes and your overall health.
The take home, a small calorie deficit, protein and fibre in every meal and enjoy your food.
