Today as I await news from the mechanic in regards to my well-travelled Subaru my mind wanders back to this tiny enchanting town, it's breathtaking views, and the pastries eaten with my favorite adventure mate.

I leaned on the railing using up my data for the day, while pondering whether through this magical conversation I was captivated in had carried me to the Mediterranean... Turns out not, it was just Lake Constance in all her glory.

Yesterday morning I awoke to a steady drizzle as I readied to greet my last day in Paris. As I slowly strolled her streets I stopped here and there trying to capture the ornate architecture...but there are times when one simply needs to put the camera away and bask in the moment.

Yesterday I went on an adventure to Käsküche Isny, about forty minutes from my place here in Friedrichshafen, to find their store oh so quaint and their alpine flower cheese just captivating.

Down in the Cellar at Fromagerie Beaufils my first week in Paris. I still cannot get over how beautiful cheese can be.

Sitting in the Cellar... I finally wrote again, wohoo! So follow the link in my bio to read a bit of my adventure with Walter Räss in Tufertswil, Switzerland and his cheese Challerhocker.

Spent the morning at Käserei Bütschwil where Reto Güntensperger makes Appenzeller as well as a few other kickin cheeses like Gewitterchäs {"storm cheese" that Reto says only is made when there is a storm}...now only if we could get that in the states.
Pictured is one of his cousins who works there, Rachel, who is working on her cheese apprenticeship. Here the apprenticeships are for three years, 4 days working and 1 day at school.
