The Year of Living 50 Begins.. So Saturday night saw the start of what will be the year of living 50.. My beautiful wife and our extraordinary son, took it upon themselves to create the #surprise of all surprise #parties to begin the festive year.. #Friends from all over gathered on the lawn of the iconic Hanworth House to help me celebrate the milestone.. Now I do realise there is confusion surrounding the exact time and more-so date of birth, left to my father, my birth certificate states I was born on the 10th February.., according to my mother, a far more reliable source, I was in actual fact born at 01:00 Sunday the 20th February 1968.
Confusion abated… time to move on.
A massive thank you to all that attended, I mentioned in my speech that I was pleasantly surprised how friends and #family from all my walks of life, managed to congregate in one place at the one time, without any massive fallout.. I trust you all met my older brother… lol
Not only was I blown away by the combined feeling of warmth and love, the incredible efforts K an S went to to make it happen, but the generosity of loved ones also needs mention.
From exquisitely hand crafted notepad and graphite chilli pencil, designer clothing, what will no doubt be memorable beverages, a very special bit of #Burberry (insert heart emoji), the most sensational perfume that I’m not sure I am even worthy of wearing, (but I most certainly will), A Beautiful Book of Bridges.., vouchers to Brisbane’s BEST dining and right down to personally crafted and hand picked birthday cards with heartfelt messages of love and friendship, and a “Paella Pan”…! (Thanks Frank… lol)
I feel totally spoiled…
If I had have known turning #fifty was going to be so good…, I would have done it much earlier..!! Haha
