Came upon this Adrienne Rich poem while preparing for next week’s #UniverseInVerse and it struck me as the most beautiful, bittersweet requiem for Notre Dame.

Rachel Carson died 55 years ago this month, having effected nothing less than the awakening of the environmental conscience. She never lived to see the far-reaching impact of her courageous work.
