Experience a way to do what you do in life with ease and enjoyment! Taught by Ellen Melamed, Alexander Technique lessons of constructive rest and mat work help students translate what they learn into practical, daily activities. Ellen will facilitate each 4-week session. Class content will be shaped and defined by needs and interest of students in the class.
The class series date are Tuesdays, 5:30pm - 7pm, September 19, 26, October 3rd and 10th.
Our Certified Alexander Technique teacher, Ellen Melamed is also serving as an Artist in Residence at the University of Arizona College of Fine Arts. As part of the Program in Medical Humanities, Ellen started a program in Narrative Medicine at the UA College of Medicine. She is teaching all first year medical students to use the arts- writing, theatre, photography, fine arts- in order to strengthen compassionate patient-centered care and help bridge the divides between practitioners, patients and caregivers.
