I, like many others, tend to use social media to show off the highlights of my life. So here’s me at “Dancing with the Stars” last week. You’re welcome. (Oh and, @mirainagasu, I’m super excited to talk to you as well. Always.)
The photo on the left has sat framed on the dresser of my childhood bedroom for roughly 16 years. My humorous and encouraging dad made it after a trip to Lake Placid. ••• The photo on the right is of Jessie Diggins and Kikkan Randall on Feb. 21, 2018 achieving what used to be viewed as impossible - winning Team USA’s first cross-country skiing gold medal (and first women’s medal!). While I am bummed I wasn’t the one to win it (ha!), I am blown away to know I was there to witness their feat in person as part of the #TeamBehindTheTeam. And yes, Jessie and Kikkan can thank my dad for somehow, indirectly, predicting their success. ••• #GoTeamUSA#GoJessieAndKikkan#LoveMeSomeTeamUSA#WayToMakeHistory#AndHerstory#BadassAthletes#EveryoneWasCrying#ItWasIncredible#Woohoo
Congrats to the #FinalFive on winning Team of the Olympic Games at #TeamUSAAwards! Wonderful night celebrating the incredible achievements of every @TeamUSA member at the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
It remains my honor and privilege to have spent the past seven years covering these athletes and countless others.
Crazy where a far-fetched dream and a little hard work can take you! #TBT courtesy of @jpenny27... From being an Olympic enthused kid, to covering Team USA and hanging with @rickiefowler down in Rio. Could not be more proud of my little bro @bppenny Keep up the good work!#tbt#rio2016#teamusa
