Over the weekend at Meatstock i met a heap of bbqers, facebook folk and instagram followers, which was great putting faces to names. One such fella @christragas also competing, makes a crazy good tasting onion jam with a million ingredients in it. So different from a basic onion jam. Texture taste and appearance is brilliant. Anyway, i luckily came home with a big bag of it and whipped this double cheesey up, sitting atop the funky jam. (excuse the squashed bun, bag of buns of thrown in with all the bbq gear)

May not be prettiest, but was tasty!! This was my 1st place wings at the inaugural @steakcookoffs at @meatstock Melbourne!!!
Using my standard hot and indirect cook in the kettle, dry rubbed and homemade sauce. So pumped winning 1st Place chicken wings at the @steakcookoffs SCA Meatstock flying under my own Booma's BBQ. The wings were picked out by @morningtonprimecuts who not only have brilliant Beef but the chicken goes alright also ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜€ Ran the wings with simple rub then my own sauce. High heat indirect in the kettle with @gardenofsmoke cherry wood. Perfect combo!!

Started of the weekend, indiviually, Booma's BBQ, with a Best Steak, Best Burger, Best Wing competition.
And who got the winner winner, chicken dinner!! Best Wings!! ME!! Great way to begin a few sleepless nights of barbecue. Lots of pics to be posted soon

Rich amber colour

Aroma of ripe orchard fruits: pears, bananas and apples with vinous raisins and dried figs. Caramel, vanilla and marzipan balance the fruit.

The palate is filled with rich, toasty caramel, creme brulee, more fruit, pepper, sandalwood, nutmeg and marzipan.

A full, sweet, juicy mouthfeel, with a youthful, spicy, dry finish.
