How can someone have so much confidence in themselves? How do I get there ? What are the steps? .

Your confidence comes from skilled practice. It is refined amongst finding yourself. How can you be confident if you don’t know who you truly are? Confidence is not worrying about the outcome but finding pleasure in process! It’s about growing your roots deeper! It’s about finding yourself and knowing exactly who you are! You ever speak to someone with a ton of confidence? What do you see? I’ll tell you 😍

✨You see someone flourishing in their own skin. You see someone’s roots grounded so deep there is no storm that can blow them away! You see someone who isn’t worried about the result for they know their self worth! Your confidence starts with eliminating your fear! Mental health is so important and most of our society puts it down. How are we supposed to heal without a support system? How are we supposed to grow without a positive mindset during our circumstance? Something that has been weighing on my mind is using some of the #Fridayfeatures to highlight someone who needs our support! .

✨ Groin Strain? Lets Stretch it Out !!!✨

Groin pain, tight inner thigh muscles that just never seem to let up? Why is this happening? .
.
The groin muscles (adductors) as we call it are so stubborn when it comes to injury. Constantly being stretched and pulled and really never get a chance to fully relax! I personally have found instead of resting the groin we start stretching it fresh out of the shower! Allowing the tissue to fully relax before we apply pressure and strain. This is all for the purpose of realigning the collagen fibers. Interested ??? Read below ✅

🔥 When we have a muscle strain most of the time our collagen fibers that make up the tendons have slight tears and begin to lay down scar tissue over these tears for healing. If we let the strain rest without applying gentle stress to the tendons we will be back to square one right when we start to move athletically again. The key to groin strains is to stretch In a pain free range multiple times per day. Every time we stretch we are realigning the collagen and allowing the tendon to heal itself in an extended position. Just relaxing the muscle for long periods of time will just cause the tendons to heal in a tightened position and WABAM!! We have reoccurring injuries over and over with the groin! .

Next time you have groin pain go ahead and stretch that tissue fresh out of the shower! Make sure your at least one week out from the Acute Phase of the injury! Always make sure your in a pain free range and sit in the position for 30 seconds multiple times. Start to lengthening those tendons and begin the healing process the right way so we can eliminate reoccurrence! Body of Youth 🙏

Tip 🏋🏼‍♂️ - Once you can tolerate the stretching without pain start loading the muscles with simple adductor exercise to now strengthen the muscle in the lengthened position you have gained! That is how we attack the groin once and for ALL !! 👊

❌ Elbow Pain coming from the Chest ❌

Structurally we always think the issue is at the source of the pain! But that is not always the case! I can’t emphasize this enough !!! You CANT do enough back exercises! ✨
.

We as humans have a natural tendency to dive inward. Tight chest, rounded shoulders, kyphotic posture! I always say it’s a 2 to 1 ratio with upper extremity exercises. 2 x as many back exercises as we should be doing chest exercises! What was an elbow problem turned out to be a shoulder problem elicited by pec minor brachial plexus compression! Presenting like TOS! We can’t be afraid to think outside the box to improve symptoms and bring that body back into BALANCE ✨ .

I have started to witness way too many people pressing the same buttons, the same split squat drill, the same deadlift mechanics, the same sumo squat over and over and over and over. What people oversee is the structural anatomy and body composition! Your in pain? You have muscle weakness, tightness, joint stiffness, or soreness? Your body has become asymmetrical. You are OUT of BALANCE! .

How do we facilitate balance? Through proper MOVEMENT 👌. We focus so heavily on one side of the coin we forget all the other components! Too much stretching = joint laxity! Too much strengthening = decrease in mobility! Too much conditioning = muscle loss. Too much diet = mental fatigue! The list goes on .......

You see I like using this shot of me a little while back getting barreled. It’s a perfect example! I find myself in these moments analyzing all the balance that comes into play to make this all work. Perfect tide swing, perfect conditions, perfect wave, perfect board, perfect balance 👌! Our body’s act in the same format. We push and pull, twist and turn, and expect ourselves to stay in sync. It’s usually not the case. .
.
That is why I’m pushing the word FREE! I see patients all day and have a job, I don’t need your money until later down the road when it will impact someone else’s life! That FREE is for you; all it takes is a DM to get you started 🙏 Find Your BALANCE ✨

💥 How do you breathe ?? 💥

Weird question right? I get it, we all don’t think about breathing cause it’s autonomic! But there is a method to the madness! If you find yourself mouth breathing it’s time to change your way! When we mouth breathe we are actually reducing the oxygen saturation and increasing our sympathetic response. When we breathe through our nose we are able to regulate the exhale. Did you Know that we absorb most of our oxygen on the exhale?? So when your running, swimming, lifting, or yoga remember to inhale through our nose and exhale in the same pattern.

You will find yourself having less fatigue, an increase in stamina, and an improved tolerance to movement! Let your mind relax, let your stress decrease, and let Mother Earth fill you up the proper way 👌
