Seventy four years ago today on April 19, 1943, marked the start of The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. This happened to be the first, largest, and the most symbolically important Jewish uprising during Germany-occupied Europe during WWII. This act of Jewish resistance is often celebrated around the world as a Day of Remembrance for those who survived such horrific events.
I had the honor and pleasure of witnessing Mr. Jack Repp speak at the Holocaust Museum this afternoon. He was a brave resistance fighter and death camp (and march) survivor. Hearing his words have opened my eyes even more with the hate that surrounds us today. Let us never repeat our past and keep the stories alive of those who have already left us. 🖤
