Shout out to all of you who struggle to quiet the mind ❤️🙋🏻 Some days there is nothing more exhausting than my own thoughts. My anxiety. My worries. It's hard to rationalise but sometimes it's so LOUD 🙉
I suppose that is one of the reasons I love to sing. I'm lost in lyrics and melody and everything seems better, just for a moment 🙏🏻 It's the offstage moments that are the hardest. The doubts creep in.
I made some changes last week & wanted to share them with you.
I walked to the gym (instead of driving) did a Pilates class & during my walk I listened to an album for fun (not for work) 🎶
I managed to do a guided meditation 🙏🏻 Positive affirmations- I find it easy to show the people around me love, but struggle when it comes to showing myself the same love ❤️ Writing down my thoughts 📝took a huge weight off. Getting everything I wanted to say off my chest, it didn't even matter that I didn't say it to the person, I cleared the thought for me.
These are just a few small steps but already I have clarity & can focus without getting flustered.
