12th Aug '17 marked the end of my MSPI 2017 journey. The past 3 months have been absolutely amazing and I have learnt so much every step of the way.
To the Singapore Woman's Association, I would like to thank all of you for the efforts you've put in for almost the whole of 2017. I know that even when our trainings or public appearances are over, all of you would still have meetings to make sure things go smoothly.
To my fellow finalists, we started off as strangers, and we are now one big family. I love you girls so much and we've really come a long way. This journey wouldn't have been the same without you girls. I never expected us to become so close and I'm already missing y'all.
To Eddy, thank you for taking the time out to choreograph our whole routine. You might be strict with us at times, but I know it's for our own good. The show wouldn't have been what it is without you.
To my family, the whole huge group of you. Thank you so so much for all your constant support. I really feel the love even if most of you are thousands of kilometers away from me.
To my friends, your support and faith in me is greatly appreciated! And I'm sorry for bugging you guys to go like my photo okay.
I may not have walked away with a crown, but I won Miss Photogenic and Miss Popularity. Something which I could not have accomplished with everyone's help and support. And thank you to my parents for giving me good genes!
On a side note, I must admit that I'm pretty bummed and disappointed about not winning a title. Most who know me know that I can be rather exacting of myself and have high expectations. BUT, THE FACT THAT I AM A QUEEN IN THE HEARTS OF MANY ALREADY MAKES ME HAPPY. I know that I did my best in the finals and that's what matters. There are factors out of my control and I believe that one day my skills will be recognized.
For now, I will work on improving myself and improving with every day that passes by.
At the end of the day, it is important to be humble and true to yourself. Don't ever fforget where you came from. Deep in our hearts, we know how well we did and how much further we have to keep walking and improving.
