Here's our 4 top tips to add kilos to your squat!
1.) Master your set up: Get as tight as possible, take no more than three steps after unracking and brace your core as hard as possible, this will protect your lower back so you can squat more weight safely.

2.) Squat below parallel: To maximise your leverages it’s essential to squat below parallel, this will enable the stretch reflex aka “rebound” effect. This will help assist in helping keep your torso from falling forward, which would inevitably make you either fail the lift or make it much more difficult.

3.) Prime the hips back: When initiating the squat it’s important force the hips back this will help evenly distribute the load and engage the right muscle group.
4.) Keep the knees out: This allows your knees to track over your ankles and keep the force distributed evenly. Furthermore this creates a strong torque from your hip and activates muscles to set the pelvis and lumbar spine in a neutral and stable position thus generating maximum power.
