Thoughts for 2018 and a look back at 2017.
I always see people comment on all the bad of the year before and how they can’t wait until the clock strikes midnight and #newyearnewme. Bad things happen, jobs come and go, people will disappoint you, people will pass away, and the cycle of life will continue. The key is seeing the beauty in all of your experiences, for better or worse. Don’t burn the bridge between what you perceive as a horrible year and the fresh esoteric calendar date that starts with 1/1. Burning that bridge and flipping it off in the rear view defeats the purpose of all the lessons you should have learned from 2017, 16, 15, etc. For 2018 I will not start fresh, I will not bait myself into #newyearnewme, and I challenge you to do the same. I’m embracing who I am and where I’ve come from. Remember, our lives can be infinitely enriched by helping others, and our lives can be saved by people helping us. We need to understand that how we go about our daily routine, and how we treat the people around us has 99% to do with our happiness and our future as mankind. In 2018 my main focus will be spreading this message. Look for more information on what I’m working on in the upcoming year. I will continue to pursue my goals and #makemymark. For now remember #bethechange you want to see in the world, it starts with you and me.
