Want to grow your arms ?
1. Prioritize - Train arms on their own day so you are able to train them when you’re fresh rather than training them at the end of a workout.
2. Up the volume - More volume (to an extent) results in greater muscle growth.
3. Up the Frequency - Train arms 2-4 times. This will allow you to easily increase the volume and take advantage of elevated protein synthesis levels (which is key to muscle growth in natural bodybuilding).
4. EAT!!! - Make sure you are eating in a reasonable surplus coming from nutrient dense foods.

-THE UGLY TRUTH OF BEING SHREDDED-
Everybody wants to be lean..right? Right, but there is a big difference between being lean and absolutely shredded. I am extremely proud of this physique because I (and anybody who has ever truly been this lean) know the sacrifices that must be made in order to achieve this level of body fat. However, the low body fat shown in this picture is not healthy nor sustainable. At this point, my hormones were out of balance (which made building muscle almost impossible), my sleep was terrible, and I was short tempered. The human body needs some fat to function optimally. Striving for a lean/healthy physique should always be the goal. But, if you do desire to reach extremely low body fat levels, make sure you educate yourself and are aware of the side effects/consequences before doing so.

TIME!!
•Natural bodybuilding takes time. •Focus on improving in some way every day. Remember - Seconds turn into minutes, minutes turn into hours, hours turn into days, and days turn into years. If you are always progressing in some way, whether that be: diet, exercise execution, etc, you will see results over time. •Set and achieve small goals that will add up to your bigger goals. •The sooner you realize that natural bodybuilding is a marathon, not a sprint, the better off you will be. You can’t expect to continuously pack on 20lbs of muscle/year but if you focus on adding a couple lbs of muscle each year then within a few years, you will have built 20lbs of new muscle.
• Understanding that natural bodybuilding is a marathon, not a sprint, does not mean you can slack off. You must stay focused and intentionally progress.
- 4 year transformation. Freshman year of high school (2014) to Freshman year of college (2018).

New Years motivation !
This transformation is from the end of my bulk to end the end of my cut in 2017. (Current physique is somewhere in between these two pics as I am focused on building some new muscle). This transformation was a result of creating a plan and working that plan through consistent action. Whether your goals are fitness related or not, remember, YOU have the ability to do anything you set your mind to. Make 2018 your year !

Bad workouts - - Not everyday will you have a perfect workout. Today was one of those days that nothing felt right. I couldn’t seem to get good contractions which led to a frustrating workout. Regardless, I pushed through and progressed volume wise, but was still unsatisfied with the workout. Tomorrow is another day though, so remember: be consistent and try to be better than the previous day.

❗️Training Tip:❗️
When trying to optimally build muscle, there are many variables that must be accounted for. A few of these training variables include volume, frequency, rep range, eccentric vs concentric work, etc. While all of these variables should be managed, some are more important than others. Total volume has been shown to be the number 1 driver of hypertrophy. Volume accounts for a spectrum of variables, but is most simply viewed as weights X sets X reps (Volume = weights X sets X reps). In order for muscular hypertrophy to occur, studies show that the muscle must constantly be introduced to a new stimulus. Whether the new stimulus occurs in the form of muscle tension, metabolic stress, or muscle damage is up to the individual. These three mechanisms of hypertrophy can be introduced through multiple different methods, but the simplest method is to increase weights, sets, reps, or a combination of all three. Combine this style of training with adequate calories/nutrients and muscle growth will occur.

LEG DAY
For the longest time I trained my legs only once a week with an insane amount of volume and intensity. Yes, my legs did grow, however, I think they will be growing more now as I have split that same volume into two days !
