I’m thinking hibernation isn’t just for animals. It’s for humans too. Humans like me. 😝 I am storing up for winter. 🐻😭 I cannot stop eating and resting. The cold weather has me in the craziest funk evahhh!!! I have been so not myself and I’m blaming it all on the below freezing temps. Give me sunshine. Give me warmth. Give me long summer days. To all of you people who live in places where it’s actually cold most of the time...how do you do it? Gimme all the tips. 🙏🏼

I felt very out of sorts yesterday for some reason. So, I got on my mat to practice, expecting to feel better. But, i didn’t. My whole body was stiff and nothing felt good. And it was a heavy feeling. And then the song Thrive by Casting Crowns came on my Pandora. And i listened to these words and i felt lighter because they reminded me of my purpose. 🙏🏼❤️ “We know we were made for so much more than ordinary lives. It’s time for us to more than just survive. We were made to thrive.” #thrive

This is his first day out of the house in 5 days! The flu is awful and it’s crazy how many people have it! 😷 And I don’t care that he’s 5 and huge. I will forever push him in the stroller if it means I get to run. I start to lose my sanity a little bit if I go too many days without moving my body. 😬 #crazymom He really will sit in that stroller all day. So lazy and it makes me so happy. 😂 SIX miles and done! 👊 #RUN #notyoga

I don’t have much to say about my splits because I get frustrated. And that’s just lame. Ok, i really do have a lot to say...always. 😝😂 I’m practicing a lot of non-attachment with this posture. I have injured my right hamstring and this injury has haunted me for a long time. Splits are almost completely out of the question for me. I warmed up for a long time today and I cannot push it anymore than this. I refuse to injure myself for instagram. So, touching down in splits today actually feels like progress for now. Ok, winter. I’m done now. We can break up. I’m ready for summer and all of the sunshine and shorts. 💁🏻‍♀️ Wearing big coats and sweaters is a lot of work. I can hardly move. 😂 But, really. If it’s going to be this cold I want to see some snow. ⛄️ Who’s with me? #thisisalabama #enoughisenough

There is more to come. The future is bigger than the past. And that makes me excited. 💥 Sometimes i feel like my life will stand still and it will always be the same. And don’t get me wrong- life is good, but every year it gets better. There are ups. Of course, there are downs too. That’s life. Everyday I tell myself to CHOOSE to be happy. Decide before your feet hit the floor what kind of day you will have. It doesn’t always work. Some days are just blah. But, there’s always tomorrow and a new chance to make it good. My kids are growing. I’m getting older. And life is getting richer. The longer i live, the better it gets. Where do you see yourself in 10 years? 🤔 The future is bright! ❤️

Just a glimpse into my yoga practice. I love being so loved and so needed. These are my people. Good thing yoga calms my heart because you never know when these three are going to wander in. 🤪 Even when they are fighting, whining, and giving it ALL to me, they are pretty great. #mom And look how much my Wet Dog loves me. 😭❤️ Happy weekend, Insta world!

Real time practice. It’s wobbly. It’s messy. It’s mine. 🤗 I don’t have much time to play and make videos on my mat anymore. I wish I did because I love it. I usually do my regular non-Insta practice and then I have to move on and get everything else done. I think we need a few more hours in the day to get it all done! Make time to play! 🙌 I haven’t tried this flying pigeon lower in a long time and it shows. Practice!!! 😝 goodnight! 💤

This. This. THIS. Well, this is the most difficult pose for me ever. And Carmen does it with a half lotus bind. 😱😱😱 I modified this year and last year and did not do the half lotus. This year I’m grabbing my wrist in the bind. Last year I was barely making contact with my fingers. And I’m getting more rotation and my arm down lower on my raised leg. Other notes- same leggings. Better lighting. 👌 This was so hard and took A LOT of warming up. Glad it’s over. 🤪 @cyogalab #ayearofyoga2018 #ayearofyogabetsey

I’m SO behind in this challenge, but I’m here! I’m doing it! I will do it! 🙌 This flying grasshopper variation is so fun to me. The biggest difference I see here is my top “hopper leg” is more straight. It’s not leaning into my upper body as much. Also, the toes on my “hopper foot” are a lot more relaxed. 😂 In general I feel more relaxed in this pose than I did last year for sure. I remember the first time i decided to open up my hips and send my leg back. It was so shaky and I barely had the strength and flexibility to get there and hold it for even a second. So, even when progress is slow- it’s still progress! @cyogalab #ayearofyoga2018 #ayearofyogabetsey
