HELLO 2017 πŸ‘‹πŸΌ I just killed lower body and did 20 minutes of stairs because I can finally breathe and exercise! I had gotten pneumonia and while I was no longer contagious weeks ago, my lungs were full of gunk and I was making awful sounds when I was breathing. That meant that any time my heart rate was elevated at all, I felt like I was suffocating 😷 I'm so happy to be back at the gym and to set some new goals in all areas of my life! I hope everyone had amazing holidays! #howibringinthenewyear

#progresspic πŸ™ŒπŸΌ Finally starting to feel like I'm not dying of a head cold so I went shopping with hubs tonight for food because #letsbehonest I had zero desire last week to eat clean when I felt like crap. I did go to the gym and did as much as I physically could though. Anyway, @brianna.danielle3 has worked me hard the last two weeks and I also started I incorporating #HIIT cardio a few times a week as well. Happy Monday! πŸ’ͺ🏼

πŸ™ŒπŸΌ Yessss! Tested my body fat last night with my favorite gym partner in crime @brianna.danielle3 and compared my stats to the ones I took in February! I'm so excited! I have been working so hard and have not missed more than 4 workout days a month all year! I have been battling a cold, but starting Monday it's clean eating until Christmas... I refuse to let the holidays kill all of the hard work I've put into 2016! #bringiton πŸ’₯πŸ‘ŠπŸΌπŸ’ͺ🏼

12 lbs down since May! πŸŽ‰ I had no clue until I was looking back through my workout calendars that I use to keep track of all of my workouts and was like 😱 #todaywillbeawesome

Shoutout to my favorite workout partner @brianna.danielle3 for putting up with me in the mornings, for accepting me as I am 😁 and for ALLLLLLL the laughs we have πŸ˜‚ Thanks for teaching me how to push myself!

I forgot to post that I finished my 90 day birthday count down! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ I think out of those 90 days I only missed 6 or 7 days of working out! Anyway, my birthday came and went and I started a new job last Wednesday and I still haven't missed a workout this month (and my birthday was August 7th 😏)! I am so proud of what I've accomplished since May and never want to stop! Once I get completely used to my new job (I've been a stay at home mom the past 8 years) it will be time to set a new short term goal! #nevergiveup

Down 10 lbs AND finally broke another plateau! I know losing 10 lbs in basically 11 weeks may not seem like much to some people, but I have put on a lot more muscle than I have ever had on my body! Plus muscle weighs more than fat so in losing those 10lbs slowly and correctly along the way means I have leaned out too. I NEVER thought I would be able to get this low on the scale (I am still at a totally healthy weight) and have as much muscle as I do because I have always weighed more than I look. I started at 152.9lbs and hit the first plateau at 145lbs and could not get under it for weeks it seemed. Then I switched things up and I broke it! Then I was stuck at 143.5lbs for a while again and now I'm almost in the 130's again! I say again because when I lost all my weight the first time I had no idea what I was doing and I got down to 125lbs... I had people who loved me asking if I was eating. I wasn't fit, I wasn't eating enough to support the muscle on my body so I lost weight, but not the correct way. I'm 5'7 and I have learned not to focus on a number because that gets me into trouble. Of course I like to see the scale go down, but if it starts going up and I'm still seeing results, BRING IT πŸ™ŒπŸΌ Remember, slow and steady wins the race, fad diets and quick weight loss gimmicks aren't good for you! You aren't losing body fat by taking those extreme measures, you're losing water weight, muscle, starving yourself and probably not providing your body the nutrients it needs. Eat clean, exercise 4-6 days a week, and take before and after pics because usually the scale is a liar! ✌🏼️

Two-a-days make me happy πŸ™ŒπŸΌ I just completed 45 mins on the stair master! That's a new record! πŸ’ͺ🏼 Did shoulders and abs this morning too. #boom

#5years between these pics. I often forget how far I have come. The more time that passes, the more the "newness" of that euphoric "I did it!" feeling fades. I am not just a girl who lost weight anymore, I'm now a girl who overcame an obstacle and continues to live her life applying the knowledge she learned from that difficult venture. So many times I fell or had lost hope in myself, but I would not have learned the things that got me to who I am today. #nevergiveup #22days

#truth day 65/90 and of those 65 days I have only missed 5 workouts! I planned on this just being a birthday gift to myself just to see how far I could push myself and physically change in 90 days before my birthday, but I never want to stop! Exercising isn't something I even contemplate anymore, it is apart of my day every day because it's become so much more than creating a new habit, it's my daily #therapy too. #25daysleft

#fangirlmoment this morning at the gym... @realchrispowell was on the stair master right next to me! I was seriously so excited, BUT I refrained from saying anything because if I were a celebrity, I would not want to have to stop and chat every time someone recognized me in the gym... Just know you made my morning, Chris! 😍
