My new friend never left, and it quickly became obvious that she was pregnant. She's been set up with her own cat lounge out back ever since, well fed and hydrated. There was an immediate trust placed upon me, and soon after came the purring, drools, and happy kneading feet. I've grown increasingly concerned as she's filled out more and begs to come inside with me after I've kept her company.
Well, I'm so happy to share that she will be heading off to a rescue group tomorrow. I've named her Happy, and keep telling her to hold off on having those kittens. Tomorrow evening she will be fed, warm, and safe - and hopefully a permanent home will find her.
If any of you are looking to adopt a cat or knows someone who is, please look into Tails2Whiskers here in Dallas. I can't thank them enough for immediately stepping up to the plate in my desperation to get Happy to a safe place.
