#LincolnCenterCameos || Turning the spotlight on...Vanessa
“I feel like our country has never needed the arts more. I see the arts as something spiritual, an outlet for people to find common ground and communicate.”
My name is Vanessa. I was born and raised in New York. I went to school on the Upper West Side, and have always been very excited about the arts. I’m a photographer. I actually just did a photography session this morning, and came here to just sit, decompress, think about how the session went, what I’d change for next time, maybe post to Instagram, and just hang out because it’s a beautiful day. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. I remember the old performing arts library. It was very different then. Many people who are interested in the arts come here. There’s just a very nice cultural vibe. It’s just a really nice community feeling. I’m always being inspired by everyone, particularly the artists who work at Lincoln Center. Whether it’s the ballet or opera, just seeing people at a level of excellence and the cross pollination of people from all parts of the world. Being here is amazing.
