Ben Parris  He must become greater; I must become less. -John 3:30

This shot was taken shortly before the evening call to prayer where many people gathered in support of the local Islamic center. Vandalization on the mosque from an act of fear towards Muslims spawned this encouraging peaceful interfaith event. I am thankful for this supportive community. Thanks for going with me @cindyjsullivan!

And one to grow on... Happy belated birthday America. #tbt

Merry Independence Eve!

I didn't catch it when it was full, but this was a part of the gorgeous rainbow that appeared today.

Fear is a sneaky thing. You may not realize you are afraid until someone else makes it known to you. Fear of being wrong, fear of change, fear of not being understood or accepted, fear of questions, fear of not being in control, fear of death; fear runs our lives. Fear can be healthy in moderation, but don't let it control you. May you allow peace to overcome your fears. #Godisgood

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures... where I get ticks and chigger bites all over my body so that I now dwell inside the house forever so I don't have to go outside and get eaten alive again!
On the plus side there are nice views like this outside. #Godisgood #worthit

"The existence of God within makes even control of the mind possible. Let no one think that it is impossible because it is difficult. It is the highest goal, and it is no wonder that the highest effort should be necessary to attain it." - M.K. Gandhi .

The summer solstice is one of my favorite days of the year. It means that moments like these last just a couple of minutes longer than any other day of the year. #PraiseTheCreator

The eye is such an amazing lens in which to view this creation. I only edit my photos to the level that I remember as to how I actually saw it. Camera lenses have a hard time capturing all of the different levels of light and color that your eyes are able to do. I stuck my camera out of my car window to capture this shot as I was driving to work this morning. #PraiseTheCreator

I am so thankful for the opportunity to meet families from Syria and Egypt who have come to America. Whenever we arrive to the complex it feels as if we are in another country. There are about 70 refugee families in this one apartment complex in Murfreesboro from the Middle East and Northeast Africa. Many good things have been happening for these families since they moved to America, but there are many needs still. Please pray for these families and that people's hearts will be moved to find ways to help these families out. #Godisgood
