Instagram is great for some quick photo inspiration, but so bad for encapsulating an entire day into a single photo. They’re more work, but what do you all think of these scrolling posts? I like the idea of doing micro blog posts of some of the weddings I’ve photographed over the years.

Over time.
I’ve been archiving all 12 wedding seasons that I’ve photographed so far as well as testing like crazy for a new set of @cascadepresets, so I thought it’d be fun to share a photo from 2013 with one of the new presets applied. -

The edits definitely aren’t dramatically different thankfully, but it’s a testament to my theory that keeping colors and tones are natural as possible will always increase the longevity of the photos.

It’s funny how wedding photographers end up looking to the world like “portraits of people in pretty clothes in beautiful location” photographers most of the time instead. Don’t get me wrong, I love portraits in amazing places, but this is why after a decade plus I’m still loving this job.

Through it all.
One of my off-season projects this year has been to transfer all of my weddings to a giant archive NAS, so it’s been fun seeing familiar names pop up that let me revisit those times. @joshuanoom & @annie_noom got married 5 years ago last summer back in 2013 & it’s been so fun following their journey since, even recently into parenthood. I’ve been testing packs for @cascadepresets, so I thought it’d be fun for a little re-edit & share. I love looking back and seeing the work I’ve created over the years and knowing that those photos will definitely outlast this silly app that we tap our thumbs on throughout the day.
