Holding this medal in my hand reminds me of the physical work that was done in preparation towards this race (Staten Island Half). But itโ€™s more than that. Itโ€™s also the inner feelings.

I think many of you can relate to that inner joy; you feel it when you accomplish a goals, when you conquer, when you succeed. That feeling is unexplainable, but most importantly it make you wanna do more and accomplish more.

Tuesday morning Iโ€™m awake and THANKFUL! My workout for the week is interrupted due to a foot pain. Huge improvement this morning , but not ๐Ÿ’ฏ. I know many of you have experience this at some point whether with training or different aspects of your life, but how do/did you handle the situation?

Here is my plan:
1. Give my foot another day to heal
2. Continue my daily core workouts
3. Keep reminding myself why I TRAIN
4. Finally believing that I will be well

Remember stuff will happen, there is no question but your approach in handling those situations makes the difference between getting distracted or staying focused. Alway keep your goals insight, because it will help you stay focused.

Recap of last week:
Overall productive week. First half of the week was slow, some needed recovery after #nbbronx10m race.
Started the weekend with #gretesgreatgallop in my 1st โ€œAโ€ bib on Saturday followed by a 9 mile run with @kikimakolli inside #centralpark . The original plan was 15 miles but had to stop due to a foot pain.

Needed a back to back run, so I said yes to a 14 mile run on Sunday with @runningbrina . Shoutout to #chicagomarathon runners, congrats!

Rest/recovery & taking care of my foot today and start running again tomorrow in preparation for #statenislandhalf this coming weekend. ๐Ÿ“ธ by a #runner
