Behind the Scenes NYC  "UnCoveringNY" Strengthening the local community, disrupting the status quo of NY tourism far from the touristy scene! Contact@BehindTheScenesNYC.com

"I’m Brazilian (yes! Not a New Yorker!). Which is actually better, believe me. Most New Yorkers I know, are not really interested in exploring their own city, and are always going to the same-exact-eternal-places-they’ve-always-gone. ⠀
.⠀
I always had this indescribable passion and curiosity for NY, so I was often here visiting, always UnCovering the best hidden spots and events. The city is just so dynamic, alive, full of novelties, so multi-cultural, beautiful, with an intense energy…the list can go on forever.⠀
.⠀
Initially I wanted to move right after college, I had a couple of ideas and plans, but then you start working and getting into serious relationships…then suddenly BOOM!…you’re over your 30’s and still back home. Bummer.⠀
.⠀
On April 20th, 2014 I was in NY for a holiday and out of the blue said to my sister: "I'm moving to NYC in 1 year." Guess what? I literally landed in NYC, with a working Visa in hands, EXACTLY 365 days later - April 20th, 2015!"⠀

.⠀
The shows are in support of Amnesty International’s I Welcome refugee campaign, which mobilizes public pressure on governments to welcome refugees. The photos are amazing on BTSNYC!! Who does all your photography, or is it both curated and original.⠀
.⠀
"So, as of now, we mostly credit all of my pictures. I rather have shots by professional photographers, than doing it on my own because we don’t want to credit other people. You can’t be great at everything, so building up a great team, is the way I believe to work.⠀
.⠀
Also, I try, as much as possible, to find new, but A-M-A-Z-I-N-G photographers, that have very low number of followers on IG, use their pictures and help them grow their numbers! ⠀
.⠀
I mean, we do sometimes use pictures from photographers with 500k, but why would we promote them all the time? As we do with the business we write about, helping them grow, we do that with photographers too. ⠀
.⠀
I want everyone to start following them and getting to know their work. I’m not “possessive” of my followers like many people are today. I want everyone to have millions of followers and have their business skyrocket! ⠀
.⠀
There is space for everyone to rock’n’roll!" ~ Our Founder, Fê (@feparonetto1)⠀

"Obstacles are always there! They are good! You will ALWAYS see me say “It if was easy, it wouldn’t be as fun!” Hum…Maybe “Time”. I mean, I’m not even sure if Time can be considered an obstacle, lol. ⠀
.⠀
This is very subjective, because I’ve had great people complimenting me regarding everything I’ve accomplished up to this day, but, maybe as every Entrepreneur out there, we always think that we could have a few more hours in the day and that we should be further down the path. ⠀
.⠀
Obstacles will always show up, and they are awesome, so just smile at them and politely say, “Excuse me, ‘cause I’m coming through!!!” ~ Our Founder, Fê (@feparonetto1)⠀

We just arrived for out 16,849,972th dinner at Sunday in Brooklyn (@sundayinbrooklyn)! Hahaha!
.
We are completely obsessed with this place, plus we just bumped into Todd, one of the owners, that told us the menu has several new dishes. .
Plus, the veggie selection grew, so for the vegetarians like us, you'll be fantastically well served!
.
Their Bloody Mary is quite famous too!
.
The restaurant is located on Wythe with South 3rd street, right on the corner!
.
Last, take advantage of this summer weather to sit at their outside tables! We're sitting at one of them now!

apArt Private Gallery is landing in New York to creat more opportunities for artists!
.
Inspired and encouraged by German collector Christian Boros’ initiative to transform a Berlin bunker into an art gallery, on top of which he also lives, the Founder Thais Marin has created, on a minimized scale, apArt Private Gallery (@apart.gallery).
.
apArt is a private space where, through a scheduled appointment, you’ll be able to appreciate, purchase or rent fine art and design as well as meet and engage in conversation with the artist or designer.
.
Everything is organized on a privé basis for VIP individuals or small groups. The greatest experience provided by apArt is to enable art and its creator to come into contact with those who appreciate it. It’s not to represent any artist. It’s to be a facilitator and a trendsetter. It’s to assist upcoming artists to prepare them to the conventional galleries. “We want offer artists a place where their art pieces can live from inception to sales” says Maria Ines Moraes, entrepreneur that opened her fabulous apartment to host the NYC location.

With its focus on trend-setting, apArt Private Gallery was conceived, among other reasons, to host invited artists from anywhere in the world who will then be able to live-in, create their works in loco, and later display them in an exhibition.
.
Besides all apArt is focus on non-art collectors changing their mindset to believe that they can buy art and in the future to transform them in collectors. “We don’t want to compete with the conventional galleries. We want to do a step back, prepare new artists and make more art collectors to them” says Thais Marin.
.
UPCOMING EXHIBITION: apArt Private Gallery is preparing the opening of “Terebintina” (Turpentine), a solo and first-ever exhibition of Brazilian artist Marcello Serpa, showing his acrylic on canvas works from October 5th to December 5th.

"Start ups demand great people with as much passion for the project as the Founder himself. ⠀
.⠀
It will demand lots of hard work, nights of no sleep, repetition of processes, testing out different alternatives to grow, it’s a 24/7 conversation - everywhere you go and everyone you meet, you just want to talk about your company.⠀
.⠀
It may be annoying specially with friends you’re always hanging around with, so we need to be careful. But, they can become great brand ambassadors too! I want to build a great team, with self-realized people is what I’m looking for. I love people! I need people!" ~ Our Founder, Fê (@feparonetto1)⠀
