BEAAtlantic  Building Equality in Architecture across Atlantic Canada.

Susan Fitzgerald @fbm_design challenged us to look at our everyday city and reflect on how we engage with the places and communities in our daily paths in comparison to the widespread urban fabric. How does the design of our everyday experience foster diversity and resilience within our urban environments?
Thank you to everyone that took part in this great event! 📷 @julianparkinson .

SAVE THE DATE Very excited for Omar Gandhi’s upcoming public lecture and exhibition on April 11th in Halifax NS, marking 10 years of practice. Come celebrate a leader in our community! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Posted @withrepost@og_architect The far-fetched journey of Omar Gandhi Architect began in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2010. As the studio enters its 10th year, our team is excited to host Omar's first-ever public lecture in Halifax at the home of our studio.

Join Omar for an evening talk at the Halifax Seaport Farmers' Market followed by an exhibition at our studio in the historic Immigration Annex - celebrating our community and in gratitude to all who have been a part of this story.

The evening is supported by the generosity of our friends at the Port of Halifax with all proceeds going to Laing House, a peer support organization for youth with mental illness in our province.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite - Link in bio.

This is FACES + CASES: An ongoing project profiling members of the EiA community at the School of Architecture! We wanted to learn more about our peers and showcase the people behind EiA by asking them the following three questions:

1. What was your previous life/gig before going into architecture?
2. What are your thoughts on/experiences of equality?
3. What is one defining characteristic about yourself?

In three+ lines, this project aims to highlight individuals’ backstories that have influenced the way they engage with architecture and its community. The project invites us to develop a deeper understanding of our peers, friends, and colleagues at a human-level through story-telling and, further, identify the commonalities we may share as individuals.
Stay tuned as we release and share members’ profiles along with their backstories over the coming weeks!
