Today, my mom took me to Julie Black's Empowered In My Skin conference. This is only a small clip of what was discussed, but it's not what really resignated with me. Throughout this 8 hour event, I could swear I may have been the youngest amoung theattendee in the audience, but I was able relate to the weights of the world that have been effecting the women around me. Despite the fact we were individually living with diverse degrees of struggles, I knew every being there knew they couldn't get past it alone. And neither can I.
What I took away:
No woman nor man is an island, so don't be afraid to say you need help. Sometimes that help may take longer than we expected to come, but it will be there. And sometimes - a lot of the time - you must help yourself first.
